Real Roads. Real Fast. This is rally without limits; fully prepared cars running on closed roads.
Competitor Teams leave the starting line one minute apart, with a simple goal: get to the flying finish as quickly as possible. It’s maximum acceleration, aggressive cornering, and ultimate braking. Success requires thorough preparation, tight coordination, and a little bit of luck.
Don’t have a fully prepared rally car? We also supply spectating areas, and volunteer opportunities that can get you up close to the action.

Sorry for the late notice, but due to a number of folks being out of town, sick, or engaged in another ORG activity tomorrow night, we’ve decided to cancel this month’s meeting at Buster’s.
That said, the ORG was asked by OMSI to participate in this month’s ‘OMSI After Dark’ event the same Wednesday (3/27) as the meeting. This month features the MythBusters exhibit. Part of the exhibit features a game testing the myth “Can you drive blindfolded with someone else giving you directions?” and they wanted to see if rally driver/co-driver pairs would fare better than the average person. We also will have a table set up to promote the ORG and our associated events, explain the different forms of rally, what it takes to be a rally driver, etc.
Dylan Hooker – ORG President
See OMSI after dark event page for more info on the event.

Volunteer sign up is open, too. Go to RallyData.com to volunteer.
Here’s a picture I took on a transit during Mt Hood (I don’t remember which year), pretty huh?

Dufur, OR. – Following another successful year for Oregon Rally Group’s Oregon Trail Rally held on May 4th, 5th & 6th at Portland International Raceway, The Dalles and Dufur, Oregon, organizers decided to show their appreciation to the local community by throwing a “Rally Fun Day”. On June 30th, at the Dillon Ranch in Dufur, Oregon, the day of fun stage rally car rides took place.
Six rally teams from across the Northwest brought their highly-specialized rally cars to give local residents and community supporters a taste of what the sport of Stage Rally is all about. There were two-wheel drive and all-wheel-drive cars, representing some of the many classes of competitive cars that one might have seen at the Oregon Trail Rally.
There were many happy faces, from both old and young, after emerging from the rally car. Some were happy for the ride, others wanted more, vowing to get involved in the sport. The fun afternoon highlighted the sports family and community spirit, which is ever present in the rally community.
Once the last rally car ride was complete, the group adjourned to Dufur’s own Kramer’s Market for lunch, rally videos and stories of their rides.
Organizers are busy planning for next year’s Oregon Trail Rally, as well as another stage rally on October 20, 2012 in the Hood River area. For more information, please stay tuned to the “Stage Rally” area of www.oregonrally.com
